Copper Knights and Granite Men - Third Edition

Description

For our third edition of Copper Knights and Granite Men, we decided to use a different cover, and I'm proud to say it's my first ever full digital painting.  From the first brushstroke to the final letter, this cover was created by me.

(Matty Lasuire did an awesome job painting our first cover, but using a cover someone else did, no matter how awesome, felt a little like paying someone to go to Disneyland for you because you didn't have the time to do it yourself.)

I had struggled for a long time with digital painting, years in fact. I could color linework fine, but to get rid of the lines was often courting disaster. I'm pleased with how this turned out.

And the book? To tell you a bit about it:

"A brazen band of robbers raids the New York Metropolitan Museum. Their target? The Prince's Emblazoned, an elaborate suit of armor rumored to be of surpassing occult significance. To ensure their escape, the thieves release an unprecedented weapon: a mist that turns men to stone.

The Challenger Foundation, a team of dysfunctional and unorthodox superheroes, is called in to help. Led by the 900-year-old alchemist called the Promethean, the team must unravel the mystery of the fossilization solution and confront the architect of the plot, a deadly supernatural enemy thought dead for more than a century."
