Quiver on Post-It by shellpresto
Quiver on Post-It
The outstanding archer Quiver from Richard Rohlin and Ben Feehan's excellent superhero book series. You should check them out (they are, in fact, all good) here:
www.amazon.com/Richard-Rohlin/…

Mixed media on post-it note.

Bombur by shellpresto
Bombur
Bombur! There are times when movies or TV shows cast actors and it doesn't feel right, but the Hobbit movies got Bombur dead-on in my opinion. (Though there's so much make-up involved, they probably could have put anyone under there and had him look right.)

I can easily imagine three dwarves having to help move him in a few decades!

Ballpoint on post-it note.

(If you like my art, check out the fantasy and sci-fi books I illustrate and help write. www.amazon.com/Michael-DiBaggi… )

The Promethean on a Post-It by shellpresto
The Promethean on a Post-It
The Promethean character profile drawing for the upcoming revamp of our website. One of these days, perhaps I'll even draw the old technomage happy.

Ballpoint pen on Post-It note.

You can read his first appearance in our illustrated novella, Copper Knights and Granite Men. It's got a dysfunctional Fantastic Four meets old-school Hammer Horror film vibe.

The main story is a quick read at 62 pages, with an illustration per chapter, and includes tons of extras, including two awesome reprinted stories from The King in Yellow. It's available here:

Princess Bubblegum by shellpresto
Princess Bubblegum
Very sketchy speedpaint. I figured I'd try a more simple subject, since I've been so frustrated with my attempts at hard and fast realism. And, well, you can't get more simple (and hardly more awesome) than Adventure Time.

I think it's a small step in the right direction.

I've been updating a little more regularly, but realized I didn't yet state why.

Mike and I published four illustrated books, all sort sci fi and/or fantasy, three with superheroes. It's been a little crazy. We've been attending cons, too. As sellers. It was super-exciting, and now con season is over, so I can play catch-up on everything.

For those curious, you can read more about our stories (along with free chapters and related free short stories) here:
www.ascensionepoch.com

They're all available on Amazon.com.
www.amazon.com/Michael-DiBaggi…

And know that if you check 'em out, you'd be making my day!
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: ocremix
  • Reading: Ronin by Richard Rohlin
  • Watching: The Office
  • Playing: Miss Chrono Trigger and FF7 soooo badly....
  • Drinking: Something hot and caffeinated

Thank you for favoriting a piece from my Kickstarter! kck.st/1sLzDZm

It’s an 300+ page art book about a shapeshifter convict and a bankrupt princess unraveling the link between magic and science. I’ve been working on it for five years and now the project is ending in a few days!  I’m really grateful for everyone’s contributions and support like your faves (especially people who've been following since the start of the project!)! So thank you! :DONE WEEK LEFT TO GET THE GENOMANCER ART BOOK! by fictograph
